Updated on November 16, 2019
The Web Reimbursement Travel Authorization Form (TAF) process with BCD will be discontinued on December 31, 2019. BCD will continue to be one
of our Preferred Travel Agencies which include: BCD Travel, Egencia, The Travel Collaborative, Milne Travel and HTT. In order to purchase tickets,
you will now need to charge a Department Card, Corporate Card, or the traveler's personal card.
The FINDINI 4.0.16 Release has been successfully installed. More information regarding this release can be found:
The FINDINI 4.0.16 release included a Java JRE update to 1.8.0_221. For Mac desktop users only, when logging in for the first time after
November 18, those users will be prompted to download this updated Java JRE. This is needed for Mac users who rely on the Safari 11 browser using
Java JRE plug-in to open Oracle Forms. Please note, that Safari 12 and higher used on the Mac, no longer supports Java JRE plug-in, thus Oracle
forms will not open using this browser. Safari browsers on the Mac are currently incompatible with Java Web Start Technologies. Firefox version 60.x
and greater will now allow Oracle Forms to open using Java Web Start Technology as long as the base level of JRE 1.8.0_201 is installed. If users
receive a popup message that a more recent version beyond 1.8.0_221 is available, they should NOT act upon the request.
Windows PC desktop users no longer have to install Java JRE updates for Oracle Financials due to the Java Web Start technology. Oracle Forms
no longer prompt Windows PC users to update their Java JRE. For Windows PC users, using Oracle Forms requires a base level of Java JRE
version 1.8.0_141 which all of FAS and Central Administration have already. We have advised all other Schools outside of FAS and Central
Administration to also follow suite. There is no harm for windows users to update to JAVA JRE 1.8.0_221 after November 18.
When using FireFox version 68.x with Oracle Financials Forms, you will begin to notice an Open Executable File pop up message that will happen
each time a user attempts to launch a Form. This message cannot be suppressed. The user will need to click OK in order to launch the needed Form.
The message will state: frmservlet.jnlp is an executable file. Executable files may contain viruses or other malicious code that could harm your
computer. Use Caution when opening this file. Are you sure you want to launch frmservlet.jnlp?
